A poem written years ago — shared now in anticipation of Easter

HOW OFTEN WHITE MARSHMALLOW

as a hen gathereth her chickens

White marshmallow,

covered

with yellow

granulated sugar.

A beak,

two brown dots,

a curved,

rising tail.

Many

set in rows

wrapped in cellophane.
