Today was Pentecost Sunday. It was also the day that our church Confirmands took responsibility for helping with the service. Our pastor was at Annual Conference this weekend, so Mark Whittaker, youth and communications coordinator led the service, assisted by the confirmands.
For me the service was memorable for many reasons, the top two being that Betsy did special music, and Nathan was liturgist. You get to hear him use his “presentation voice” — some people called it an English accent — to read various scriptures and lead a responsive reading.
