Seems I helped Nathan out with workout #2 as well this week. I suggested he ride his bicycle down to Northtown with me, and to observe while I had my personal training session with Jesse Samborski Fitness. I texted Jesse to let him know I was bringing Nathan along to observe.
We rode the three miles down, and took Nathan’s heartbeat. 45 over 15 seconds, or 180 a minute. Next it was trying three doors around the outside of the office building to find one that would let us in and down the stairs to his basement workout studio.
Once there came the surprise. Jesse incorporated Nathan into the workout, which started with Nathan doing push ups while I did diagonal pullups — and then we swapped, a minute each. Nathan bested me on the push ups. I did 20 to his 26. That was followed by a couple more weight drills and then a series of cardio drills.
A half hour later and the heart-rate was 40 — or 160 for the minute.
And since we live uphill, it was a more energetic 3 mile trip back – heart rate 43 or 172 per minute.
So Nathan got a whole hour workout to log and write-up for his class.
