Well, this one is an interesting twist: I have been instructed to play around with video editing for my master’s class. We needed to take a 4 minute furnished video and cut it into a 30-60 second video that has titles, transitions, photos, etc. The key is to play with the functionality of the software we are using.
The idea is to be able to do the editing for the big project at the end of the class, a community profile website/blog. But I can see a side effect: better effects on my own regular blog posts and videos — and a lot more time wasted getting it all “just right” instead of going with good enough somewhat raw clips.
So here’s my work from last evening. Amazing how much I could do, and what things I didn’t do that I wanted to.
