Old Hymns on hold

I know it has been a long time since I have recorded and posted any songs from my childhood hymnal Great Hymns of the Faith, but at the moment I expect it to be awhile longer yet.

I have been considering restarting that blog feature for, well, quite awhile, really, but as you can see in the pictures above, I no longer have a functioning piano to play my accompaniment on. Not sure when that is going to change, and if it doesn’t I would need to be even more disciplined in putting it together. Have to schedule a regular time and be there at that time wherever I was able to borrow the use of someone else’s piano.

For that matter, the condition of the hymn book itself, which is not in the best of shape either. Is a less insurmountable obstacle than getting myself a new piano.

Anyone have an unused but in tune and functioning piano laying around anywhere that you might like to just give me — and if you aren’t in my area, get it delivered to me as well (Kansas City, MO — just in case someone takes my request seriously. I know I do!)

My last hymn was posted just under six years ago, and I stopped with #307. If the links work, and the audio tracks are still in them, below are a few examples for you to look back on, listen to, an enjoy,

#305: Just One Step At A Time

300: More Secure Is No One Ever (Late for Wednesday Post)

#287: Like a River Glorious

#263: A Shelter in the Time of Storm

#186: The Church’s One Foundation

#137: Christ the Lord is Risen Today

#98: I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day

#62: Crown Him with Many Crowns
