The Avonaires Sunday School Class at Avondale United Methodist Church sponsored its 56th Ham & Bean Dinner Saturday afternoon.
The dinner ran noon-7 p.m. in Wesley Hall, the church’s fellowship hall. The day started out bright, sunny and cold, but by the end of the dinner the predicted snow storm had begun falling, though it only managed to lightly sheet the streets by the time the dinner had ended.
As usual, the ham & beans was accompanied by the Avonaires signature corn bread, veggie tray, and a dessert buffet.
As always, it was a good time of fellowship for the workers and attendees, both new and old.
