Sometimes it just takes the right motivation …

Rocky, our dog, has a fetish for bicycles. Every time he sees a bicycle he gets excited. Perhaps that is because he hopes to get to go on a run with the bicycle.

We have a Walky Dog attachment for my bicycle which we picked up from The Dog Outdoors. It enables me to fully control the bicycle while Rocky trots alongside stretching his legs to their fullest.

But much of the time he is more interested in sniffing than running. Not today.

We took him out with two bicycles. My son rode ahead on the bicycle we picked up for him last week, and Rocky wanted to chase him the whole way. It was a great excursion. His usual average speed of 6 to 7 mph came off with an 8.9 today.

I think we should try this more often.
