Well, the year is getting off to a cold start, and so is my fitness goal.
As I mentioned previously, the swimming is starting slow, with the hand in the splint. I ran once on the first, and managed to trip into a hole in the dirt on the shoulder of the road. The bicycle got picked up from the shop Friday — new back rim — and so I’m putting on the miles there — 57 for the year so far.
Since my first race of the year, the mile, is on Saturday, we will see how my training works this week, and whether I make the 8 minute mile I originally set myself for. I could do it on a treadmill, but hard to pace myself in the open still.
So we will see how well the race goes on Saturday.
