It certainly isn’t the skunks at Worlds of Fun. Tonight I saw two of the more than 10 skunks verified to be at the park, and have seen several of them over the course of the past several weeks, but I have yet to smell one of them (phew!)
The skunks are in several places in the park, both Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. They are in the parking lots (My sightings tonight were in lot D), and in the very heart of the park (The Orient is a favorite — between PANDA EXPRESS and the Freestyle Station).
They may be a good addition to the Halloween Haunt, if people are as smart as they have been during the summer, and don’t try to approach them when sighted.
And if they aren’t that smart? Well, it will certainly lend a special odor to the Haunt festivities, and something those people won’t be able to forget for awhile.
Worlds of Fun has done a good job of merging the park with its rolling hills, instead of just flattening everything, and they are showing a good touch with the local fauna as well. For those of us who attend year after year, the bridge to the Orient is “Turtle Bridge” for the consistent sighting of turtles swimming in the water below. And not only there.
So when you attend the park the next time, don’t just pay attention to the rides, there may be some curious beady eyes watching you, attached to four legs, and maybe some fur or on the hard shell….
Bozo😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
