They make themselves caricatures of their true selves, becoming more silly and ridiculous…

I know I have stated this before, but perhaps now is a good time to state it with my utmost clarity:

• I know there are people who may not appreciate the way I have portrayed them in my blog entries.
• I have always tried to portray people as accurately and fairly as possible, tried to gain the greatest understanding of them that I could, to talk about everyone with love and compassion. To honor all people.
• I know in recent events that has not been possible, and it has frustrated me. I have opened myself to others, communicated as clearly and compassionately as possible, but in return I have received withdrawal; people close me out, cast me off, push me away, interacting with me at further and further removes, until all I have of them is caricatures. They make themselves caricatures of their true selves, becoming more silly and ridiculous with each remove that they put between us. And thus that is all I have of them to observe, communicate and report.
• Were they to try to actually communicate with me, I know I would find many things wrong in the things I have said about them, as they have said many wrong and hurtful things about me and Jasini, because they will not listen to the real people we are, but only react to the caricatures they have created and continue to reinforce in their own minds by refusing to communicate with the goal of understanding. And as they make caricatures of us, they give us only caricatures of themselves to interact and respond to.
• I/we still want to sit down and talk and come to an understanding with these people, to make peace, to reconcile. To reconcile, to make peace, has been our mantra from the very first. Why they will not make peace, what they have to lose (I see no reason anyone has to lose, but that this should be a win/win situation if we come and reason together as members of the Body of Christ) that is so critical that they must excommunicate and cast off their brothers and sisters in Christ instead of make peace, is not anything I can possibly guess or comprehend without their explaining it — and explaining is something they are showing themselves dead set against doing.
