Today marks one month since the arson fire that burned down our home and drastically affected our lifestyle.
Right after the fire I projected a year-long (12 month) timeline to get ourselves back into the house. At one point in the month I conjectured a possible three month timeline, with a caveat of up to six months
Right now I am not even certain that 12 months will be long enough to get us back to residing in our house.
This month has seen its share of obvious blessings and miracles, along with further attempts to knock us down even further. Friends and family have been on both sides of this tug-of-war with our fate in the balance.
We are thankful to each of you that has donated to our crowd funding campaign, knowing we do not deserve these outpourings of true charity. To those who have used our vulnerable position to rob and persecute us we are bewildered, hurt and disappointed, yet still hopeful that the grace of God may still touch your hearts and minds.
Many of you have given more than cash, from your hands and hearts. I have been blessed beyond measure by friends new and old who are pulling together for us, even as there are friends like the one in my previous blog who have chosen to take advantage of us in our time of tragedy. But God is good, great is His faithfulness.
