(Part of a series singing through the hymnbook I grew up with: Great Hymns of the Faith)
Sometimes in this series I come across hymns I never really knew. I think this is one of them. It actually isn’t bad, though the melody on the last line comes out a little flat. It was a newer, Peterson song.
1
Oh, He’s a wonderful Savior – Glory to Him we ascribe;
Oh, He’s a wonderful Savior – Who can His mercies describe?
Going to dark Calvary, Dying our death on the tree;
Oh, He’s a wonderful Savior – Wonderful savior is He!
2
Oh, He’s a wonderful Savior – He never leaves us alone;
Oh, He’s a wonderful Savior – Gently He cares for His own:
Graciously meets ev’ry need, Listens and heeds when we plead;
Oh, he’s awonderful Savior – Wonderful Savior indeed!
Oh, He’s a wonderful Savior – Tho once rejected by men;
Oh’ He’s a wonderful savior – Some day He’s coming again;
Coming His glory to show, Rule all the nations below;
Oh’ He’s a wonderful Savior – Wonderful Savior to know!
