#42 All hail the Power

(Part of a series singing through the hymnbook I grew up with: Great Hymns of the Faith)

1

All hail the pow’r of Jesus’ name! Let angel prostrate fall;

Bring forth the royal diadem, And crown Him Lord of all;

Bring for the royal diadem, And grown Him Lord of all!

2

Ye chosen seed of Israel’s race, Ye ransomed from the f all,

Hail Him who saves you by His grace, And crown Him, Lord of all;

Hail Him who saves you by His grace, And crown Him lord of all!

3

Let ev’ry kindred, ev’ry tribe, On this terrestrial ball,

To Him all majesty ascribe, And crown Him Lord of all,

To Him all majesty ascribe, And crown Him Lord of all!

4

O that with yonder sacred throng We at His feet may fall!

We’ll join the everlasting song, And crown Him Lord of all’

We’ll join the everlasting song, And crown Him Lord of all!

  1. Thank you so much for posting your “Playing through the Hymn book” series of music posts. I ran across your blog while trying to figure out #41, then listened to a few more. This is very helpful and If you have not do so already, I hope you will continue. Most “hymn sites” play a song once through and without vocal. In a pinch, I could use this when our “Golden Heir” pianist is sick. We like to sing hymns with all the verses! Thanks again! OH… I discovered that I can search your site for a hymn by going to Google and putting in “be swift be precise ####” where #### is the number of the hymn that I want. For example #42

    1. I plan to continue. Some of the audio files are going to be better quality than others. Depends on my skill to play and sing at the same time that day, and how well I know the hymn. Thank you for the encouragement!
