A Blast of the Past #60:urban vegetable gardening

I think 2005 was one of the years I put more energy into the home garden. The inherited flower beds became definite vegetable gardens this year. The planting certainly was fun; the pictures show the energy the kids put into the process:

We planted onions on one side of the house, and potatoes on the other. It is always fun stepping on the seed potato to ensure it is planted firmly in the earth.
