The Parable of the Unjust Judge, also known as the Parable of the Persistent Widow

Sir Rhodri here, to report that Jasini and I are striving but not yet thriving again, and that this post is a cry for help.

I am including two Youtube links in this post. The first is a video I made based off my personal experience with one of our former churches. In recent posts I told about my efforts to resolve this issue and reconcile with that church again. Some might say, based on the results of that effort, that it was a bad idea. The church ended up calling the police on us to harass us. Just leave it alone, many have said, put it behind you. But to do that doesn’t put it behind us, it leaves them intimidating me every time I try to vote.

The second video is one I saw from a pastor I don’t know but deeply admire for the thoughts I have seen him share. In this one he talks about humbling ourselves and getting small so that God can lift us up. That one hit me hard.

It may sound arrogant, but I have come to believe that I am a good example of humility, though I also still have much to learn about it. For among other things, being humble means not denying the truth. It means knowing yourself and not focusing on yourself. It means you take yourself lightly and the truth seriously.

We can be pragmatic about many things, but not the truth. We must stand for the truth at all times.

I have said the World will not repent and come to Christ when it sees the Church refuse to repent of its own sins. And churches, the institutions, have taken the lesson from our lawsuit happy society to not admit anything, instead of the words of Christ to repent and be forgiven.

And thus we find ourselves in the place of the persistent widow, with the added dilemma of not having any one judge we can pester into helping us. Finding anyone we can get to to plead our cause, or even an advocate interested to take our case and plead our cause has thus far proved unsuccessful.

So, if you have read this far, I ask you to watch both videos, assess them yourselves for their worth, and especially with the first one, if you think we deserve to be heard, share it wherever you feel you can to spread our plight to help us find someone who is destined to be our advocate. When you do share it, add your own personal comment about it.

Now, if you feel we are wrong, I have no problem with your sharing it and adding your comments when you do about why you think we are wrong. That is the only way truth can triumph.

God never promised us an easy life, but to be with us.

And as always, if you want to help with our material needs, here is our Give Send Go Campaign where those feeling led can help us: https://www.givesendgo.com/GD2AK
