#260: Is My Name Written There?
(Part of a series singing through the hymnbook I grew up with: Great Hymns of the Faith) 1 Lord, I care not for riches, neither silver nor gold – I would bake sure of heaven, I would enter the fold. In the book of Thy kingdom with its pages so fair, Tell me, Jesus, my … Continue reading #260: Is My Name Written There?

Since I began my Master's degree in January 2014, I have spent a significant amount of time blogging about various classes and reading for my degree. But I've taken a break from the program for almost a year, due to work considerations. Yet today, I am suddenly back in gear. Starting the class late, but … Continue reading The Thesis
A Blast of the Past #132: Pastor Mike’s Graduation
During the past two years we had been attending Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, it's pastor, Mike Ennis, had been attending Seminary in Kansas City. (Part of a series singing through the hymnbook I grew up with: Great Hymns of the Faith) 1 A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord, A wonderful Savior to me; He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock, Where rivers of pleasure I see. CHORUS He hideth my soul in the cleft of … Continue reading #258: He Hideth My Soul
House Repairs: Sliding Glass Door
The next stage we were waiting for with great anticipation. The back wall had been repaired, and the roof trusses replaced and new shingled put on. The house was sealed up -- except for the boards over a hole cut for the place where the sliding glass door was to go. As you may recall, … Continue reading House Repairs: Sliding Glass Door
