#267: All Things Work Out for Good

(Part of a series singing through the hymnbook I grew up with: Great Hymns of the Faith)

1

All things work out for good, we know — Such is God’s great design;

He orders all our steps below For purposes divine,

For purposes divine.

2

This is the faith that keeps me still, No matter what the test,

And lets me glory in His will — For well I know ’tis best,

For well I know ’tis best.

3

So now the future holds no fear, God guards the work begun;

And mortal are immortal here Until their work is done,

Until their work is done.

4

Some day the path He chose for me Will all be understood;

In heaven clearer light I’ll see All things work’d out for good,

Al things work’d out for good.

  1. Do you know who originally wrote this? And what hymnal was it published in? I’ve got a hand-written score of it from at least 30 years ago.
